It is available free to those over the age of 6 months; and is encouraged for anyone with a chronic disease such as chronic lung disease (including asthma), diabetes, heart disease, immune disorders; as well as for pregnant women and the elderly. If you're over 65, you're eligible for a free flu vaccine; and if you're Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander you are eligible for the free flu vaccine from 55-years-old.
